What electives do you offer?

Participation in clinical or basic research in pediatric cardiology may also be coordinated pending project and faculty availability.

"I felt that I was exposed to a large cross-section of Pediatric Cardiology while having the consistency of a main attending who made certain my time was well utilized.  From electrophysiology studies and open heart operations to weekly conferences and outpatient visits.  All Children's offers cutting edge and personalized, compassionate care that will surely leave an impression on my continuing practice development."

What are intersessions?

Intersessions are 1-2 week sessions designed to provide enhanced clinical and educational opportunities to medical students.

During scheduled breaks in the academic school year, medical students may apply to our pediatric intersession program to have a mentor-based clinical experience in a pediatric specialty of their choice. Career-focused sessions and other educational experiences are structured into the intersession to allow the student to leave with practical information on how to prepare for the next several years of medical school and residency.

Our pediatric intersession program is a competitive application process where student interest in pediatrics, past achievements and other credentials will be considered.
