Clinical Interests: My clinical interests include hospital medicine,global health, infectious diseases, adolescent medicine, telemedicine, and the integration of technology and medicine.

Personal Interests: I’m a technology “techy” at heart, I like playing with the latest new technologies, gadgets and toys.  I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews.   I also enjoy traveling to different parts of the world and learning the history of different cultures.


Brianna Conforti, MD, MS

Medical School: The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science

Clinical Interests: I am pursuing a career in pediatric oncology and matched at fellowship at Vanderbilt!

Personal Interests: I enjoy anything outdoors, and am especially excited to live in warm weather and near the beaches in St. Pete! I love cooking, music/going to concerts as much as I can, and Chicago sports!!


Jacquelyn Crews, MD

Clinical Interests: Advocating for children at an individual and large-scale, in addition to safe, quality patient care.

Personal Interests: I love to run and explore new cities; especially running to explore new cities. University of Florida Gator athletics is high on my list. I also enjoy reading romance and mystery novels and spending time with family and friends.


Paul Gilbert, MD

Medical School: Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Clinical Interests:  I am interested in the connection between development (particularly during puberty) and its relation to bullying, self-esteem,  and school performance along with the potential impact that can be garnered from the cooperative efforts of pediatricians and teachers.

Personal Interests:  I love to read, swim, fish, and golf.  I am also an avid fan of the Florida Gators, appreciate all types of music, and hope to continue working at summer camps throughout my career.  

Nicholas Jabre, MD, MS

 Nick Jabre

Hometown:  Cincinnati, OH

Medical School:  University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Clinical Interests: I am passionate about the management of asthma in children and adolescents and I am pursuing a career in pediatric pulmonology. I also have interests in medical ethics and in understanding the elements of compassionate patient care. Ultimately, I would like to develop a career in academic medicine in which I can balance my time between clinical care and research.

Personal Interests: I enjoy cycling and spending time with my dog, Cooper. I have a passion for exploring the arts in St. Petersburg and my favorite venue is the Dali Museum. 


Racha Khalaf, MD

Medical School: University of Central Florida College of Medicine

Clinical Interests: I am very interested in the care of children with GI disorders and specifically irritable bowel disease. I'm also passionate about international health.

Personal Interests:  I love traveling! Prior to finishing medical school I backpacked throughout Europe for a month. I also enjoy cooking for friends and family and come from a long line of pastry chefs. 


Alexander Kim, MD

Medical School: University of Virginia School of Medicine

Clinical Interests: After completing my residency in Pediatrics, I will be pursuing fellowship training in Medical Genetics, and then in Medical Biochemical Genetics. My ongoing goal is to provide humanistic and evidence-based care to all children, with an additional focus on those affected by neurodevelopmental disorders, malformative disorders, and inborn errors of metabolism.

Personal Interests: I love to play many different guitars in many different styles. 

John Morrison, MD, PhD

Hometown: Iowa City, IA

Medical School: University of Nebraska Medical Center

Clinical Interests: Pediatric hospital medicine.

Research Interests: Antibiotic treatment failure, assay development, patient safety and quality initiatives

Personal Interests: I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, daughter, and son, from walking our dog along the beach and visiting parks to kayaking and hiking.  I consider myself an amateur photographer, an avid Chicago sports fan, a procrastinating author, and I can never turn down a cup of coffee and conversation.  


Nina Replete, MD

Medical School:  Ross University School of Medicine

Clinical interests: I enjoy the high acuity and quick pace of pediatric critical care. I aspire to integrate compassionate and evidence-based care into everday practice.

Personal interests:  I truly enjoy the outdoors, anything from a day of scuba diving to relaxing on the beach.  My husband and I love discovering new restaurants and flavors.


Elena Rueda-de-Leon, MD

Medical School: Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (Miami, FL)

Clinical Interests: The well-being of a child and improving patient quality care by means of integrating emerging technology.

Personal Interests: I enjoy physical fitness activities such as running, aerobics, and yoga. I also enjoy the art of baking and music (French horn).
